Privacy
Your stories are not training data.
This describes current practice for lorebound.online. It is not a substitute for a lawyer-reviewed policy, and we will update it as the product grows.
What we store
Account name, email, password hash or OAuth link, characters, worlds, lore, scenes, manuscripts, communities, and the settings you choose for visibility. Session cookies keep you signed in. Optional uploads you attach to characters or maps. The site operator can also see first-party page use: which pages are opened, how long they stay open, and which account signed in with email, Google, or Discord. That record does not include passwords, tokens, or the text of your writing.
What we do not do
We do not sell your manuscripts. We do not claim ownership of your original writing. We do not use your characters, lore, or chapters to train AI models. We do not run ads against the contents of your private worlds.
Who can see what
Public profiles, public world sites, and public books are visible to anyone with the link. Private material stays with you and the collaborators you invite. OAuth providers (Google, Discord) only receive what you authorize on their screens.
Where it lives
Production data currently lives on the Lorebound server as a database and uploaded files. Hosting, backups, and email for login sit with the operators of this site.
Access and deletion
You can export manuscripts as Markdown today. You can change visibility and remove or edit the worlds, characters, and chapters you control. Full account deletion is available by emailing hello@lorebound.online until a self-serve control ships. We will confirm before removing the account.
